  • Drive to the program location (up to 100 miles away).
  • Meet the customer 45 minutes before the start time.
  • Unload your car and set up the show (table, sound, equipment/props, etc.).
  • Perform the scripted, interactive 45-minute program for up to 300 children.
  • Answer questions, hand out materials and pose for photos!
  • Clean up, load up your car and drive to the next program.
  • Submit administrative paperwork (schedule/conflicts, receipts, inventory orders, etc.).


  • You must own a reliable car (with valid license/insurance) and be willing to drive up to 100 miles.
  • You must be positive, friendly and outgoing, with tons of energy and enthusiasm!
  • You must have a variable or flexible schedule.
  • You must like interacting with children of all ages.
  • You must have experience acting or performing. (For kids is a huge plus!)
  • You must have exceptional customer service skills. We aim to please!
  • You must be punctual and reliable — there’s no calling out or rescheduling programs.

Note: There’s NO NEED to be a teacher or a scientist. We will teach you everything you need to know!


This is a part-time job with variable scheduling, best suited for:
  • Actors looking for part-time performance gigs.
  • Side-giggers and "solopreneurs" — someone who balances multiple side jobs and projects.
  • Teachers looking for summer work.

If you work a regular 9-5 with only weekend availability, this job isn’t for you.

We have two performance seasons:
  • Summer is our busiest time of the year! You should have lots of availability if you want to work.
  • We offer a guaranteed number of programs (at least 20-30, sometimes more depending on your area).
  • After summer, you can choose stay on for the school year.
  • Apply anytime from January-May. The earlier the better!
  • Workload is lighter and more sporadic than summer, sometimes just a few shows a month.
  • No contract — we book programs based around your schedule and availability.
  • You can choose to stay on for the summer.
  • Apply year-round!


  • $100 per show, plus any tips.
  • $20 travel stipend per show.
  • 100% reimbursement for all tolls and parking.
  • 10% bonus for repeat customers and referrals.
