We think the sweet spot is around 8-14. But we’ve heard from families with children as young as 7, all the way up to 17!

There is a little bit of something for everyone, and many ways for all ages to participate and contribute to the fun! For example:

• Older teens and adults can read the story and guide the experience for younger children.

• The littlest of explorers can help open envelopes, piece together the map, and scan QR codes.

And of course all ages will enjoy going through the treasure at the end!

Yes! But you have to work for it! The final puzzle will reveal the combination to unlock the treasure bag, which contains thematic and quality components.

Note: Bag contains small parts not suitable for children under 3 years old.

The map and all of the puzzles are printed on physical media. Our goal is for families to be able to enjoy an hour (or more!) of quality time away from television and social media.

Note: the game does make use of QR codes so you can check if your solutions are correct and reveal more of the story. This allows for a dynamic and immersive experience that unfolds as you progress through the story.

Most families report that the game takes anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on the age and ability of the adventurers.

The game can be played in one sitting, or it’s easy to pause in between puzzles. Take breaks and enjoy the adventure over the course of several sessions!

There are a variety of puzzles to keep it interesting for everyone! You may encounter logic puzzles, word and/or number problems, ciphers or codes, and unique, abstract puzzles to get you thinking outside the box!

The adventure takes place on a deserted island, but we don’t want you to actually feel stranded!

Yes! We love these kinds of puzzle games ourselves, but so many of them involve mature themes.

Just like our live programs, this is a completely family-friendly adventure with no violence or crime — other than plundering pirate treasure, of course!

It’s absolutely possible, meaning that no important game components are destroyed while you play.

However, once you solve the mystery, you’ll know the answers to all the puzzles, so replaying it again won’t be as much fun. However, you can walk new players through the game, acting as the narrator or guide.

Some organizations have told us that they replaced the treasure with new items and returned everything to the envelopes for a new group of players to enjoy!

No. This is a standalone purchase of one game. Depending on feedback, we may consider creating more games with different themes, and possibly offering it as a monthly subscription in the future.
